What is Neuro-Cognitive Learning?
It is now understood that for efficient learning to take place, there must be full communication and synchronisation between the various parts of the brain. It has been proven that movement can be a key factor in this process.
Various approaches have been developed using movement exercises such as the Infinity Walk, the Raviv Method and Brain Gym®. Practitioners of these methods have been highly effective in helping those with a range of learning difficulties including:
- Dyslexia
- Dyspraxia
- Dysgraphia
- Dyscalculia
The Colne Learning Development programme combines aspects of the above approaches together with up-to-date theories in phonics and reading. In the main this is achieved through a movement exercise with appropriate games, in a relaxed and positive learning environment.
